Candidate Requirements

Candidates for the District 109 Board of Education, must be:

  • U.S. citizens

  • Registered voters

  • Residents of School District 109 for at least one year prior to the date of the election in the odd-numbered year

  • He or she shall not be a child sex offender as defined in Section 11-9.3 of the Criminal Code of 2012 [105ILCS 5/10-10].

Please note that candidates must pick up the packet of election filing materials from the Lake County Courthouse in Waukegan.

Interviews

Candidates will sit for two rounds of interviews with the Caucus. Candidates must attend both rounds to be considered for endorsement.
