Katie Bittner
Katie Bittner has lived in Deerfield for 13 years and has one child in DPS 109 Schools and one child at Deerfield High School. She currently works for Waukegan Public Schools as a Diverse Learner Specialist supporting teachers and students around instruction. She believes having someone involved in public education adds value to the Board of Education’s composition.

Scott Kluge
Scott Kluge is an engaged parent and active member of the District 109 community who chose to live in Deerfield with his family starting in 2007 because of its first-rate schools. Though the community is known for its excellent schools, he also sees opportunities to improve students’ educational experiences.
“Specifically, we need to challenge ourselves to continuously improve every component of our curriculum so that we engage and inspire our children every day,” Kluge said. “We have made great strides in our Science, Technology, Math and Music programs and we have an opportunity to continue and accelerate those enhancements throughout the rest of the curriculum.” READ MORE ...
Sari Montgomery
Sari Montgomery has lived in
Riverwoods for 12 years and has a seventh-grade daughter at Caruso Middle
School, and two sons at DHS. She is seeking re-election to the District 109
School Board because she is passionate about ensuring that we provide a
world-class education for the children of our District. She believes that her
experiences both within and outside of the District will enable her to continue

Ron Worth
Ron Worth was born and raised in Deerfield. He moved back to the area with his wife and four children after living in California’s Silicon Valley for 12 years.
“Our
decision to return to Deerfield was based on the fantastic reputation of
Districts 109 and 113 after doing extensive research of schools in the North
Shore,” Worth said.
In January 2011, Worth was appointed to a vacant 109 Board of Education position, where he has successfully served for the past two years. READ MORE ...
